Get Up!!
The title track from the Mintzer big band cd of the same title borrows from the groove of the James Brown tune "Get on up Lika a Sex Machine".
All similarities end there. Intricate harmonies and floured sax lines are found here. The blowing sections for bari sax and trombone have some poly-chordal qualities, but are fairly straight forward.
