I saw Pete a week ago. He was in pretty bad shape, but ready to fight the good fight. We're all praying for a substantial recovery with Pete. He is a great guy and a one-of-a-kind musician. Pete has a sound that you can identify after two notes. He's taught me a lot over the years. We were on several bands together as well as Pete playing on all my big band recordings.
